Steroids Test prop hurts when I inject it

I really wanted to try testosterone prop but the stuff really hurts when I inject it. What are some tips when it comes to post-injection pain when using it? My coach said that I will need to figure out how to use it if I am going to compete because he wants me on it and he wants me cutting it off ahead of my competition.

Hi @gaintrail

PIP can be pretty rough with propionate, and it isn't necessarily a sign that you're doing something wrong. The formulation itself can be irritating, along with concentration and injection technique.

Keep everything sterile, use proper injection technique, and don't keep irritating the same site. Mild soreness can usually be managed with gentle movement and a warm compress. If you get severe or worsening pain, significant redness or swelling, heat, fever, or discharge, get it checked rather than assuming it's normal PIP.

If it's consistently painful, I'd also talk to a clinician about the formulation rather than simply trying to tough it out.

Next time go with test CYP. It's smooth and you can inject it anywhere from 150 up to 500 mg a week, depending on what you're looking for.

Back in the oral with testosterone, that makes it so much better. It will help you with your strength, your size, and everything in between.

By laying testosterone between 300 and 400 mg a week, I would not go higher. If you do go higher, definitely you need an AI and that goes a long way.

Bros, testosterone works really well. I would go 400 mg a week, run some aromasin with it, and run some anavar with it. That's a good stack and simple.

Testosterone Propionate is known to cause significant post-injection pain (PIP), swelling, and muscle soreness. This discomfort largely stems from its chemical structure and formulation. High concentrations of solvents, such as benzyl alcohol (BA) and benzyl benzoate (BB), are required to prevent the raw testosterone powder from crystallizing in the vial. These solvents can cause a burning sensation and localized tissue inflammation upon injection.

Additionally, after injection, the carrier oil is absorbed faster than the testosterone, causing rapid precipitation of testosterone within the muscle. This forms micro-crystals that irritate muscle fibers.

Several strategies can reduce discomfort, though effectiveness may vary depending on individual response. One option is to warm the vial before use.

Run the sealed vial under warm tap water for a few minutes before drawing the solution. Warming the oil lowers its viscosity, helps dissolve micro-crystals, and allows for a smoother injection. Alternatively, you can place the filled syringe on a heating pad for several minutes before injecting. After injection, firmly massage the site for about two minutes to help disperse the oil. Applying a heating pad to the area for 10 to 15 minutes afterward can further promote blood flow and absorption.
