Well I took two rest days instead of one. Back really wasn’t feeling up for supporting squats so I called it a wash and went back to sleep. Tried again the next day but man, 130am comes quick when you don’t get to bed until 10pm so I said nah and went back to sleep again lol. Don’t judge me.

Looking forward to the new schedule starting Monday and only working 8hr shifts. Should be much easier to get those morning lifts in.

Today was the first lower day of the split. To be honest, my back still was feeling a little sore but we gave it a go any way. Only pushed one heavy set on smith squats to be safe because I could feel that erector didn’t want to cooperate. All in all still a solid lower day.

Writing this while on my last cardio session for the day so steps should end up around 15k

Hey, how long before a heavy workout do you do a TNE injection? I assume it’s an oil-based form, so it absorbs more slowly. I’m asking because I remember when I used it in a water-based solution — about 30 minutes after the injection I felt like I could chew through the barbell at the gym, haha
 
it is oil based, I’d say I do it about 30-45 minutes before I head out the door. Then a 8-15 minute warmup on the treadmill before I start lifting

Solid upper day completed this morning. So far I’m enjoying the way this is split up except for 1 minor problem. Tomorrow is supposed to be a lower day, and after hitting legs on Friday, that just isn’t gonna be feasible. DOMS isn’t gonna allow that one but we will see what I can get done that isn’t too sore. Might just turn into an Arms/Abs/Cardio day.

5-10/5-11/5-12

5-10 was an arm and shoulder day due to legs not being ready to be hit again since the split got a little messed up with the extra days. Still a great lift and got some extra work done on those smaller body parts. Weighed in @ 176.4lbs

5-11 was a rest day. New job started Monday morning and wasn’t sure what to expect so I didn’t want to wear myself out early in the morning and suffer at work. News flash, still suffered. Stuck in a classroom for several months in training and that was a rough first day just sitting for 8 hours. Body was not prepared for that nor was my brain 🤣. But lifting in the AM before work is completely doable. Weighed in @177lbs

5-12 first day in the gym before work. Up at 2am, gym by 330, finish by 5am, shower/eat/ get ready and leave by 630am. Great upper day at a different gym which I’ll be using more often. Ready to dip my toes into more free weight exercises. Wasn’t exhausted for work but I may have consumed a large amount of coffee.

Steps are much lower with this new job, going to have to work more cardio into the routine

Wednesday-pull day. Sorry for the late update, this new job doesn’t allow the amount of phone time as the last one which is when I usually did my updating so gotta figure out a schedule here to keep it going. Pull day went well, back is doing better from the strain and powered through the lift pretty good. This was an early morning lift as well.

Thursday-Legs. This lift was after my shift at 3pm today. Not a fan of the crowds at this time but didn’t want to hit legs before the shift. Solid session, different machines to get used to. I’m writing this 4 hours after my lift and my legs are already sore.

Friday was a rest day, and much needed after a long week of adjusting to work and the new schedule.

Saturday was my upper day. Great session, great pump, mood is still in a great place. Sleep is still great. The bounce back has been phenomenal so far. Sad the cycle is ending in a few weeks just as I’m making good progress again!

Current split: PPLRULR. Pull day was yesterday. Still adjusting to this new work schedule and meal timing and everything involved with having the daily routine shaken up. Some days I lift super early AM before work, other are later in the evening after work. This lift was an evening session as I met up with a buddy and slightly went off plan. The session was great, felt everything firing, pump was awesome, arms were literally falling off my body. Have end cycle blood work scheduled for Friday morning.
